How It Started
I started Coast'ers in 2025 after 25+ years behind a desk in IT. I needed a change — I needed to get outside and into the world. But more than that, I needed a reason. I started wondering if other people needed one too. Not a reason to run errands or grab lunch, but a reason to actually explore: to stretch your legs, clear your head, and step outside the everyday grind.
My first instinct was to start a YouTube channel — visit towns along the coast, explore the local shops, get to know the communities there. But everyone's done that. You watch, you nod, you think "I should go there" — and then you don't.
Hiding Coast’ers
So how do I actually get you to go? I started hiding coasters.
I designed and 3D-printed them, then hid them in real places worth finding. The name is a bit of wordplay: a "Coast'er" isn't just a visitor — it's someone who wants to immerse themselves in the adventure, go off the beaten path, and finally try the place, the food, or the experience they've always meant to. Finding the coaster is really just the excuse. The adventure is the point.
That's what "Keep On Coasting" means: finding adventure wherever you are.
